I have been working on this project for a week, spending at least 2-3 hours daily on the computer trying to figure it out. I searched a lot of similar codes for this project and eventually, i successfully created a Hex file for the same. But the problem is that i am not able to run this on Proteus. The simulation starts successfully but nothing happens when i type, even the LCD doesn't display anything. It would be great if someone help me out because i am quite on the verge on loosing my mind here. I have absolutely no background on electronics and have to make this project because the subject requires it. I have included the Proteus file, C file and the HEX file. Please check it out and tell me what's wrong. Thanks!

Your Proteus simulation does not have an LCD display.
As you have plenty of spare pins I suggest using the LCD in 8bit mode,
(all 8 data pins connected), as programming is easier.

The file you posted is not the one shown in the images.
It only contains an 8051.
Please check and re-post.
You have reversed the pins on the display.
Change them to
LCD 8051
D0------ P1.0
D7----- P1.7
Your code is for 4 bit mode, but should work anyway.
Although you could use a motor to unlock something (L293)
it is more common, and easier to use a solenoid.

Don't worry, I think you will soon have it working

I am sorry, i didn't checked the file just copy pasted it from Documents. I have reposted the file now. I did as you said and connected the pins as you wrote, and there is now light blinking so i guess you are correct, still there is nothing being displayed on the LCD. But now the Terminal isn't even coming on my Simulation, could be because of some bug on my Software, has happened before. I am quite a noob in this subject, don't know what a solenoid is, but i can't use that as i have already purchased the motor driver module. Anyways thanks a lot for the good words at the end, you are the only one who has replied nicely enough, as i have posted on one or more forums and haven't got a reply yet. Seriously you are great!

UPDATE - It's working now, but after successfully entering my RFID code the motor doesn't rotate. I have tried different codes for the motor, writing the function separately and inside the if statement, but it just won't rotate. Please take a look at it and tell me what's wrong. Thanks

It's a Proteus thing.
Although the schematic looks fine,
there is something wrong around the supply to R1,R2 and the L293.
I have redrawn then and it works. Congratulations
A minor point, you selected 3 watt and 10 watt resistors.
In reality 0.25 Watt would be used.
kks like this.
