hello sir,i have a sm20 finger print module and i want to write an application for interfacing sm20 module with lpc2148 but plz tell me how to check my sm20 finger print module is working or not??? i have serial port terminal software..

I found this data sheet that seems to cover your model.
As commands are 24 bytes long and not in ASCII you can't do a simple test.
Write a program to send a command string and check the reply.

but there is one issue i used lpc2148 trainer board for interfacing fp..in that pin.0.8 showing 0 voltage and i cant get proper response from fp

pin 0.8 and pin 0.9 are used for receive and transmit data for UART1....and i used UART0 for transmitting data and uart1 used for showing response from fp....

because FP data is reading by using UART1 and TX AND RX pin of uart1 is connected to pin0.8 & pin0.9 and TX show 0 volt.

Can you give a link to the lpc2148 trainer board you are using.

Are you able to program the board to do anything ?
Do you have any demo software that transmits on UART1 ?
