I am using hyper terminal in xp , is its causing a mistake? should I use putty or any other telnet based web client etc, now its banging me.. also after error 1, it keeps on giving me error 20 which is "The cache for transmitting TCP data is full", now how to delete the cache and get rid of this mistake?

I do not think hyper terminal has anything to do with this. are you getting CONNECT now? you cannot do a send command before you get that response. Also before each retry, power cycle modem so that no effect from previous AT command should remain.

I wish I had that module to try out I am not sure what could be causing the problem. It may be wrong format of commands, or order of commands or something related to network. You can try with TCPTest Tool software and set it up as a server on local machine. try to connect using some external PC and then try with modem.

command flow is/should be same as I mentioned in my first post. You need to give commands in the same format and order. I suggest you use "TCP Test tool" software to make your PC as server and try connecting to it (also make sure your PC has public IP for modem to be able to connect).

p.s can we format the GPRS to set the settings from start? I guess we can?

sanaaaa

Power cycling modem should do the reset of GPRS too.
