Hello,
I am doing a project on Biometrics.
My first Job is to Monitor Fingerprint image using fingerprint sensor.
I want to Interface Fingerprint sensor with Microcontroller 89S52.
I couldn't find the right sensor to use with 89S52.
Can anyone help me to get Fingerprint sensor for microcontroller 89S52? Is it Possible?
Or I have to choose another microcontroller.

Thank you.........

finger print sensors are available.. they are actually biometric modules. i think there are vendors available in mumbai region. I dont have complete address. you need to confirm from somewhere.. search for biometric module in google.

here is what you were looking for.. exactly what you wanted.. a serial thumb scanner

while asking BIOenable for the sensor. be specific of ur needs...
cause they have different kind of sensors with the same name..
mostly they sell one which is interfaced to PC comes with a CD (drivers..) remember u dont need it.. tell them that u need serial data (TTL) and u r interfacing it with 5Volt operated microcontroller..

Hello,
I couldn't posted my queries to BIIOenable, because of their server problems.
I gone through googliing about fingerprint sensors and I got Fingerprint sensors like MBF200 from Fujitsu,FPS200 from veridicom and AT77C102B from atmel.

MBF-200 and FPS-200 are available with three tyes of interface(USB,8-bit mcrocontroller,SPI).
Which will be bettter for interfacing with MCU 89S52 or AT89S8252?..

I am not sure about interface of AT77C102B. can I interface it with microcontroller 89S52 or AT89S8252?..

Thank you...

this is a spi based finger print sensor... one thing more u can always trust products from atmel nxp and microchip they invest so much on their support!!!

Hi Shyam,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I couldn't open the document from the link you have given. But I think it is a datasheet of AT77C102B.
So,It will support any microocontroller having a SPI interfacce.
So,It will support AT89S8252.
But what about AT89S52? Will it support 89S52?..
view the datasheet of MBF-200 at following link.

What do you think for this sensor?

Thank you....

So,It will support AT89S8252.

Yes it will support.

But what about AT89S52? Will it support 89S52?..

vmax

89S52 doesn't have SPI, so it will not support.
if timing is not the issue then you can implement SPI by yourself..

time is an issue only @ receiving....
u will get a bulk data when receiving....

so better use 8252

I can use both 89S8252 and 89S52 with AT77C102B Fingerprint sensor.
So,I can make an application based on AT77C102B fingeerprint sensor with 89S52 or 89S8252.

Can you tell me If I want to use MBF-200 Fingerprint sensor then How can I utilize it for my application?..

Thank you......
