AT77C102B has parallel interface so as u said u can use any controller at the cost of extra pins...

MBF-200 has all thesse interfaces...
(1) USB 1.1 for integration into computer applications.
(2) 8-bit parallel MCU interface
(3) SPI interface, a serial interface with 6 wires.

the problem is it captures images...... and authenticate s them all by itself... no embedded programming required...
so boring!!!!!
plus it wud be little expensive.

Thanks for your suggestions.
As AT77C102B has parallel interface, I think I can Directly Interface It with PC Through USB or Parallel port. It is also given in datasheets.

But If I want to make Embedded application and If I want to monitor Fingerprint In PC and and save to compare it next time,Then How can I make Use of MicrocontrollerAT89S52 or AT89S8252?

Can you explain me the flow of data?..

And What do you mean by using a controller at the cost of extra pins?.
So what are the modifications I need to do with Microcontroller?..

Thank you...

u will neeed less pin to interface with SPI as obvious so

"at the cost of extra pins"

when u r using with uC u will get a block of data all hex .. first u will have to save that data coorresponding to a picture(gray scale fingerprint) in RAM then to some eeprom or flash and then compare each byte with already stored image..

AT77C102B gives 8-bit Fingerprint Image.
So, What will be the Size Of the Fingerprint Image?
What is size require for eeprom and RAM For storing the single Image ?

Can you provide me some link where I can Find the use of this sensor with SPI interface?

Thank you.............

Hello Everyone,

I have been searching for weeks, but have been unable to locate an Atmel AT77C104 sensor or any other sensor for that matter. I am doing a project similar to the one described above, but can't even get started because of this problem locating a sensor. Can ANYONE please help with contact info for a vendor??

Thanks in advance!
