I have a question..
I understand that Labview is a test and simulation tool.

Does labview work as a code generator too? can this code be used on any controller?
i have seen videos where they build up a system and program the hardware, usually hardware is a special device not really a generic controller.

Pravin please put some light on this

no ajay...labview cannot generate any code ............. i will work oly in os platform....

u can write c code in labview... it as a c complier.....

labview wont support..

fpga tools are there in labview ucan interface fpga...& also ucan communicate wit controller... through serial comm...

ajay u can develop a graphical application..... it as variables .data types.... etc....

dear all -
i found a little about Labview--
"LabVIEW (short for Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench) is a system design platform and development environment for a visual programming language from National Instruments."

----from wikipedia..

so its a library of virtual instruments those can be used alone or integrative manner...

you can build your own VIs by combining various VIs in your automation program...

so its a kind of Graphical controller designing for controlling your instruments....
