FURL has nothing to do with site links.. and nor with the database. There must be some other problem. Is there anything else you installed along with it?

I really don't know about this problem.. and why you are facing it.. because FURL does nothing with your database.. :-s
anyways.. to take off FURL without uninstall you just need to delete the FURL folder from plugin directory.. thats all..

When I installed furl, the sitelinks for download.php changed to download.htm and so on (i did not do anything). before uninstalling furl, try to change back the urls to the real ones.
