Keil µVision3 to Proteus 6.9 Debug Interface

Hi,

I can't do the DEBUG. Please see the step that i have done.

Install uVision3
Step:
1) Install uVision2
2) Install uVision3
3) I have install uVision2 AddOn Installer: Setup Labcenter Electronics Proteus VSM AGDI Driver v1.0. (vdmagdi)
Components install:
- ARM AGDI Driver (VDMARM.DLL)
- 8051 AGDI Driver (VDM51.DLL)

Debug Setting:
Step:
1) Open PROJECT.DSN with Proteus 6.7
2) set DEBUG -> Use Remote Debug Monitor
3) 80C51 Call .hex file (Edit Component -> Program file: )
4) Open project.Uv2 with µVision3
5) Target1 -> Option for target -> Debug

- The error message came out after click the Start/Stop Debug Session.
(*** Error: 'C:\Keil\C51\BIN\VDMARM.DLL' not found)
I already install AGDI Driver v1.0. (vdmagdi) why still have VDMARM.DLL error?

- Click RUN on Keil simulator, Proteus wouldn’t show any result.

did you download from the Labcenter Electronics site?
Driver site Page
did you entered the info in the tools.ini file in the keil root directory?
if not then you must add.. something like this..

TDRV0=BIN\VDMARM.DLL ("Proteus VSM Simulator")

make sure you have the files in BIN\ directory in keil folder.

But you know.. i just downloaded the driver and.. it didn't work, it says error: DLL exited something i do not understand is it the error in the DLL or what. and you dont need Keil uvision 2 to install first, if u have uvision 3 you can directly install the driver for V3

I already success Proteus6.7 VSM uVision3. The driver i'm downloaded from labcenter also.

The problem is i can't link Proteus6.9sp5 with uVision3. Same as you say error: Target DLL.....

Do you know how to solve it?

No not yet.. i guess its a bug in the DLL. or is not compatible with the new Proteus 6.9 SP5.

I already search on net. But still can't found any infor on that.

How bout your? Did you dicovered any new thing?

nothing its the same.. but i use alternative, I mean create hex file and load it for debugging.. the problem is, you cannot do step by step execution and all other methods of debugging. Just you can run your program.

I think, someone must contact Labcenter for this error. Did you try mailing them?

I think its the problem in DLL, coz.. debugger runs and then paused... still i am looking for solution
i think for now u can also... create hex file and load in processor and run it for simulation.

here are the detail
1)install Keil uVision3
2)install Proteus VSM Keil Driver
3)install Proteus
4) open proteus->debug -> Use Remote Debug Monitor
5)give permission to service on XP
6)open Kail->Project->Option for Target ->debug->use proteus VSm simulator

done

and note this DLL is not working with proteus 6.9 sp5 cracked version

use 7.00
